Senior Manager Systems and Analytics Job 2024
We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Crew Resources Management team in Doha as Senior Manager Systems and Analytics.
Job Purpose
Senior Manager Systems and Analytics will be responsible for leading and overseeing the automation, system management, technology integration, data analytics, and operations research function for the Crew Resources Department. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen and a track record of leveraging data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
Accountabilities
- Identify, and adopt future technology trends to deliver a highly automated crew resources function with the aim of improving crew engagement, controlling cost and reducing transaction times.
- Define future state roadmaps for technology used within Crew Resources to ensure Qatar Airways is a leader in adopting new technology aimed at improving crew operations.
- Establish an operations research function which allows data to be converted to useful insights aimed at improving operations and reducing costs.
- Conduct quantitative analysis to support strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Lead the implementation and optimization of automated systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in Crew Management.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor system performance and the effectiveness of automation initiatives.
- Define, Lead and manage projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system needs and develop solutions that align with business objectives.
- Develop and oversee data analytics strategies to provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
- Ensure all systems and processes comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure day to day management of all systems which impact crew resources to maintain operational reliability.
- In partnership with the business ensure operational dashboards are developed and maintained as per requirements. Provide deep dive data insights to enable strategic decision making on costs and operational reliability.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into existing workflows, ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and buy-in for initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables. Monitor & report on project progress, manage risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure the crew management systems are up to date and used to its maximum capabilities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain competitive advantage.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures that promote system security and data privacy.
- Manage system updates, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure smooth technology integration and alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement technology roadmaps to keep the organization at the forefront of industry advancements.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations. Continuously evaluate and refine processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Apply operations research techniques to solve complex operational problems and optimize processes. Conduct quantitative analysis to support strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools and methodologies to analyze complex datasets and uncover trends and opportunities.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data across all systems.
- Develop models and simulations to test the impact of potential changes and support scenario planning.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
- 10 years of job related experience
- Advanced experience with systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing complex systems and analytics functions within a large organization
- Strong background in automation, technology integration, and data analytics.
- Exposure to specific operations systems such as Jeppesen, Sabre, IBS.
- Prior experience implementing AI technology in airlines.
